Inv. No. WP_12
The wallpaper conceived by Martina Vacheva for EVN refers to the collage The tallow candle (2015), from which a single figure is taken. It is a ghost in a white and slate gray coat, with dark, hollowed-out eyes. His slender figure is elongated, floating, falling, or vanishing. In the original, the figure is part of a group portrait of ghosts.
The wallpaper was shown with its counterpart The tallow candle in the exhibition evn collection: Franz Kapfer / Lazar Lyutakov / Martina Vacheva at SKLAD, Plovdiv (BG), as part of Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture 2019, from September 14 to October 13, 2019, and as part of Wallpaper #3 from December 2019 to September 2020 at the EVN headquarters in Maria Enzersdorf.
